Land Raider Memorials.
The struggle for ordinary folk to obtain land from greedy landowners went on for many years, the long struggle culminated in raids at Balallan in 1887 and riots in Aignish, & Gress in 1888 & 1919 respectively.
In the 1990's this struggle was finally recognised with the erection of 3 memorials. All were designed by artist Will Maclean and constructed by local stonemason, James Crawford.
